Additional Info

Dear participants,

Here are some additional info to all AEV designers:

·         Battery usage:

o   School Category must use only the EVEREADY SUPER HEAVY DUTY 1.5V AA Batteries (non-rechargeable). Please take note that maximum voltages allowed is 3 Volts. We do not limit the numbers of battery use as long as the total volts accumulated is not more than 3 Volts.

o   Example 1 (ALLOWED): 

Using 6 units of batteries but in parallel connection to maintain total output is 3 Volts.

o   Example 2 (NOT ALLOWED): 

Using 6 units of batteries but in series connection. Total output is 9 Volts.

o   Open Category is allowed to use any kind of batteries as long the total output does not exceed 12 Volts.

·         Motor usage:

o   There is no restriction on the numbers of motor use in this competition for both categories.

·         AEV starter kit:

o   Only School Category is allowed to use the starter kit provided by the organizer. 

o   Open Category is not allowed to use the starter kit and/or any of the parts to take part in this competition. Team will be disqualified from the competition.

·         Test-run session:

o   It is advisable to bring your AEV design for test-run. Any objections regarding the race track during the competition day will not be entertained.
