Announcement: Updated Rules 14 April 2011

Dear participants,

Kindly download the updated rules & regulations (14 April 2011).

Highlights:

- The vehicle must be powered solely by the sun's energy. No energy storage devices (e.g flywheel battery, etc) may be used in conjuction with the solar panel.

- Solar Boat race track dimensions:
      Width: 400 mm

Announcement: Rule Clarification (Updated)

Dear participants,

Due to contradiction on the following rules:

Rule 2.6 (Solar Car Open Category)
Rule 3.5 (Solar Car School Category)
Rule 2.11 (Solar Boat Open Category)
Rule 3.8 (Solar Boat School Category)

The Technical Committee has decided on the following decision:

- The vehicle must be powered solely by the sun's energy. No energy storage devices (e.g. flywheel battery, etc.) may be used in conjunction with the solar panel.

Hence, circuits, electronics or mechanical devices for the purpose of energy storing are NOT ALLOWED to be used on the vehicle. The vehicle must be powered solely by the sun's energy which mean the solar panel must be connect directly to the motor.

Dear participants,

The registration for Solar Car & Solar Boat School Category is now closed. However, you are still eligible to register for Open Category or you can opt to put your team in the waiting list for school category (This waiting list does not guarantee your entry in the competition)
